President Santos to China for More Cooperation Agreements

Beijing, Apr 27.- Colombia and China will sign various cooperation agreements during President Juan Manuel Santos”s official visit to Beijing from May 8 to 12, Foreign Ministry sources in this capital announced on Friday.

When providing details about the accords, spokesman Liu Weimin said that the documents include economic areas, such as trade, and culture.

Liu added that President Santos’s visit is part of high-level talks between both nations, with good results in collaboration in telecommunications, infrastructure, and trade.

The Colombian president will meet with his Chinese counterpart, Hu Jintao, among other top officials.

Colombian Foreign Minister Maria Angela Holguin traveled to this capital in late February to prepare Santos’s visit, to which both parties gave a major boost. (Prensa Latina)
