The popular Cuban singer Pablo Milanes will tour several cities in Colombia in April, said on Monday his daughter, Lynn Milanes, who will accompany these presentations. In statements to Prensa Latina, the singer said that five concerts are confirmed so far, one in Bogota, the capital, all supported by her father’s band.

She also stressed that his first visit to the South American country will serve as a prelude to a future tour with her own band.

Now focused on the album, Milanes will start recording in March a CD with twenty songs of the late Cuban troubadour Sindo Garay (1867-1968), author of anthology pieces such as Perla Marina and Tardes Grises.

Produced by the record label La Ceiba, from the Office of the Historian of Havana, the album has also production and musical arrangements of another compatriot, singer and guitarist David Alvarez, lead singer of the group Juego de Manos.

Milanes also commented that she is preparing to record another CD with Bis Music, in which she will include songs, “some unpublished”, of various Cuban composers, including Amaury Gutierrez, Raul Torres and Kelvis Ochoa.

This year, Lynn Milanes expects to make a tour in Cuba with the cultural project “Round the World”, which created in 2011 with the collaboration of the Pan American Health Organization and World Health Organization, provides presentations on senior care homes.
