HP (Hewlett Packard) is aiming to grow in Colombia’s SME segment during 2013, the managing director of HP Colombia’s enterprise group, Eduardo Rueda, told BNamericas.

trial300x300The move is part of a region-wide drive by the company to increase business with Latin America’s SMEs, where there is strong growth potential in areas including networking, storage and solutions, the executive said.

HP’s recently inaugurated global services center in the Colombian city of Medellín includes a contact center for reaching out to SMEs both in the country and throughout Latin America in order to promote such solutions.

The company is hoping that investments such as these will begin to provide results this year and guarantee HPs presence in the local SME market, according to the executive.

HP Colombia’s enterprise business line grew by 10% during 2012, and the firm expects to continue seeing double digit growth in 2013, supported by various product launches in segments including workstations, printing and servers, Rueda said.

HP Colombia is a subsidiary of Hewlett Packard, a technology solutions provider for consumers, businesses and institutions. The company offers services for IT infrastructure, personal computing and access devices, global services, and image and print processing for consumers, and large, medium and small businesses.
