Colombia’s Ministry of Information Technology and Communications has announced that 11 departments already dispose of ViveLab enterprise centres, with six more to be installed in the coming months.
During 2013, the laboratories were installed in Atlantico, Armenia, Popayan, Cali, Manizales, Cauca, Cartagena, Medellin, Pereira, Bogota and Montería.
Over 3,000 people attended free courses on 2D and 3D animation, business models, game creation and development of mobile applications. At the same time 10 prototypes of digital content were developed and 34 ventures in business acceleration were advised.
In 2014, the National ViveLab Network will be completed with the installation of labs in the departments of Narino, Boyaca, Meta, Huila, Sucre and Casanare.
