Colombia helps farmers with $67 million

From Colombia Reports

The Colombian government has provided agricultural relief to farmers affected by bad weather adding up to over $67 million.

The number was announced at the agricultural sector achievement presentation of President Juan Manuel Santos’ government this Friday.

31,000 of the country’s agricultural producers have benefitted from the government’s help, which allegedly included 40,000 subsidized loans, stations for fish production, health programs for crops and livestock, seed crops for food production to thousands of families, training of farmers in agricultural technologies, and overall help towards livestock.
