Carnival of Children held in Colombia’s Pasto

Children from different dance and art schools take part in the second day of Carnival of the Children, in the city of Pasto, Colombia, on Jan. 3, 2014.

The carnival also known as “Carnavalito”, which is conducted during the Carnival of Blacks and Whites from Jan. 2 to 7, is one of the main celebrations of Colombia and was declared a Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by the committee of United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 2009.
