Cali, Colombia is the setting and Caleña Carolina Ramirez shines in this Colombian-Spanish production that began shooting on Tuesday.

The shooting will continue until October 10, Cali being the epicentre of the movie “Ciudad Delirio”, a story in which a Spaniard(actor Rodolfo Sancho) falls for a ballerina (Carolina) when he comes to town for labour issues. Some scenes will be also shot in Spain.

But it will be city of Cali that will shine through the movie, including La Ermita and the newly inaugurated Avenida Colombia.

The film is being directed by Chus Gutiérrez of a script by Elena Manrique and produced by Caleño Diego Ramírez.

For Carolina, to return to her native city it is an indescribable joy. Carolina left Cali some 15 years ago and will be the first time in her career working in her native city. “I’m just so happy. Back to the place where I was born, where I spent the best years of my life, close to family, friends, people that knows you, that makes me feel part of something”, says Carolina, with that smile that lights face, told El Tiempo.
