Colombian Navy Seized 100 Kgs of Cocaine in Urabá Gulf

COLOMBIA NEWS – Members of Colombia’s National Navy found today in the gulf of Urabá in Antioquia, 100 kilograms (Kgs) of cocaine on board a ship with the flag of Singapore.

Units of the Coast Guard Station of Turbo and the local police participated in this operation minutes before the ship, identified as Star Care, sailed to a country in Central America bound for Europe.

golf-of-urabaAccording to the Navy, the drug was hidden in the hold of the ship in 100 packages.

The material seized was transferred to the premises of the Police, which conducted the Preliminary Initial Test Approved for packages, throwing positive for cocaine hydrochloride with a net weight of 100 kilograms. During the operation no arrests were made, added the source.

Last May authorities managed to seize in the same place two tons of cocaine that was being transported in a speedboat to Central America.
