COLOMBIA NEWS – Is There Doubt? In one of the most anticipated games of the World Cup 2014, Colombia takes on Brazil this afternoon, for a chance at the semi-finals.

Colombia has so far won every one its games. Brazil got to this point by taking care of business in its group play and then hanging on, advancing to the quarter-finals, in a penalty shootout with Chile, narrowly escaping defeat.

This afternoon in Fortaleza, a confident Colombia team looms as Brazil’s toughest opponent yet, with James Rodríguez, a breakout star of the tournament, threatening to outshine even Brazil’s Neymar.

People have much more doubt about the Brazilian team now, about reaching the final. The atmosphere at the Brazilian camp is quite different than over at Colombia. Before the start of the tournament, before the Chile game, there was much more confidence in Brazil, today not so much.

Although history is strongly on the side of Brazil, the two teams have met 14 times before, and Colombia has won just once, back in 1991.

This time around Colombia has the edge. There is doubt that Brazil can stop the ambition of Colombians making it to the finals.

Prediction – Colombia will beat Brazil 2-1.
